On your arrival at Jaipur airport, you will be received by our representative who will then lead you to your hotel. After completing your check-in formalities, you can head out to take a tour of the city. Your first destination in the city has to be the very renowned City Palace of Jaipur. The City Palace is a vast complex that consists of many courtyards, palaces and gardens. However, the highlights of the palace are the Mubarak Mahal and the Chandra Mahal. The architecture of the palace is something that will astound you even further, with a blend of Mughal and Rajasthani cultures, the designs and carvings enhance the charisma of the place. Right outside the palace are numerous local shops that offer authentic Rajasthani products. You can check them out and see if you like something to take back home. Later on, you can make your way back to the hotel for the night stay and dinner.
After a healthy breakfast at the hotel, you will be heading out for sightseeing on day 2.Your first destination will be Nahargarh Fort. The unique feature of the fort is that each room in this fort is connected through common corridors. They are also decorated with delicate wall and ceiling paintings. It is even said that the fort was built was around the jungle because the kings of Jaipur used to take a keen interest in hunting. The next destination for the day is Chour Ghati. While you trek up to the Ghati, you can explore the Sun temple, Chour palace and also a lake situated in the woods. Locals say that the view of the trail is so mesmerizing that even they keep visiting the place every now and then. The last destination for the day is the Jantar Mantar Observatory. The observatory houses the largest instruments in comparison to the 5 other observatories in India. Jantar Mantar of Jaipur has also been declared as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and it serves as one of the major tourist attractions in the city. After the tour of this observatory, you can head back to your hotel and catch up on some sleep.
Today you will be travelling to Jaisalmer, so make sure you have early breakfast and get ready for the journey. The distance you need to cover is around 554.1 kms and it should take you around 12 hours, by road. After completing your check-in process you can roam around Jaisalmer market. Overnight stay in Jaisalmer.
After a filling breakfast, you will head out to explore the city further. Your first destination of the day will be the Tanot Mata Temple, and then the Indo-Pak Border. You can see the check post, the fencing of wires on the Indian side and watchtower of BSF from this checkpoint. Fun fact time, only Indians are allowed to go up to this checkpoint that is called, BP 609, and that too after proper permission from the BSF authorities. Then visit the Longwala War memorial and then check in at Sam Desert Resort. On arrival have a jeep safari in desert and enjoy a beautiful sunset in Sam Desert. Overnight in Sam.
Morning breakfast and then drive towards Jaisalmer, Enroute visit Kuldhara Village and then visit the Jaisalmer Fort. The fort is also known as the Sonar Quila by the locals. Fun fact about the fort is that a detective novel has been written based on the Jaisalmer Fort and also many movies have been filmed at the fort. Now, that’s someplace to visit. Apart from the fort Jaisalmer also houses the Salim Singh Ki Haveli. The haveli lies within the vicinity of Jaisalmer Fort so it is a small walk after the tour of the fort. The highlight of the fort is its unique architecture. The Haveli’s roof depicts a peacock’s formation and in the background, you can see high hills overlooking the mansion. Also, the 38 gracefully carved balconies enhance its charm. Then we drive towards Patwano Ki Haveli to enjoy the beauty of Series of early-1800s palaces, now a museum featuring intricate carvings, furniture & artwork. Evening enjoy sunset at hotel’s terrace and overnight stay in Jaisalmer.
Today you will be travelling to the last city of your tour, Jaisalmer, so make sure you have early breakfast and get ready for the journey. The distance you need to cover is around 284 kms and it should take you around 4 hours, by road. Once you have settled in your hotel you can leave for the city tour. The first destination on your itinerary is the Mehrangarh fort. The fort consists of seven gates and it is said that these 7 gates are made by different rulers in honor of victory over Bikaner and Jaipur armies. There are also a number of small palaces that you must take a tour of, within the fort. After this tiring visit, you can take some rest and have some dinner at your hotel.
Begin your day with breakfast at the hotel and later on, you can re-start your city tour with the Sardar Government Museum. The museum houses around 400 sculptures, 10 ancient inscriptions, thousands of miniature paintings, ancient coins, metallic objects, arms, stuff toys, stone sculptures, inscriptions and other miscellaneous objects. We are sure it will take you sometime to go through each commodity but the tour is worth every bit. Later on, you will head to the Umaid Bhavan Palace. This is nothing less a castle. If you want to experience the lifestyle of the royals, the fort is the perfect place for you. It is the perfect fusion of royal and rural styles. Your last destination in Jodhpur is the Balsamand Lake. You must visit the lake for its beautiful sunset. It is surrounded by mountains and the sunset enhances the view of the entire picturesque lake. You can sit beside the shore of the lake and spend some time at the lake and have a peaceful retreat. Post this lovely day, you must head back to your hotel for the night.
