Overview :

Destination Taiwan, a Nations Online Project country profile of the island nation off the coast of mainland China in East Asia. Taiwan, officially the Republic of China (ROC), was formerly known as Formosa. The largely mountainous island is located between the Strait of Taiwan, the South China Sea and the Philippine Sea, about 370 km (230 mi) north of the Philippines’ main island Luzon and approximately 180 km off the southeastern coast of China. The island shares maritime borders with the People’s Republic of China, Japan, and the Philippines.

Itinerary :

  • Day 1/ Taipei :

    Arrive at Taoyuan International Airport after the meet & greet at the airport you will be transferred to Taipei. Check in at the hotel & enjoy your own leisure time. Overnight in Taipei.

  • Day 2/ Taipei :

    After breakfast, today proceed for Half day Taipei city tours including the impressive Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall, National Palace Museum where 5,000 years of Chinese imperial arts and Jade collections are exhibited, Martyrs’ Shrine of traditional architecture and change of Honor Guards, Xingtian Temple and photo stop at The Grand Hotel. Rest of the day will be free at leisure on your own. Overnight in Taipei. (B)

  • Day 3/ Taipei – Sun Moon Lake & Nature Hot Spring :

    After breakfast, today check out from the hotel and head to Sun Moon Lake which is located in the middle of Taiwan. Tour will stop at the famous Wenwu Temple, also known as Literature-Warrior Temple, dedicated to Confucius as Master of Pen and to Kuan Ti as Master of Sword, Ita Thao Indigenous Village, Xuanzhuang Temple and Ci En Pagoda. After touring round Sun Moon Lake, check in at the hotel. Overnight at Sun Moon lake area. (B)

  • Day 4/ Sun Moon Lake – Fo Guang Shan Monastery – Kaohsiung :

    After breakfast, today check out from the hotel. You will stop by Xiangshan Visitor Center before driving to Fo Guang Shan Buddhist Monastery, the most famous Buddhist sacred place of southern Taiwan. Here you will learn about Buddhism during the monastery walking tour and communicate with some of the monks or nuns during the visit. Continuously, drive to Kaohsiung which is the second largest city of Taiwan. Overnight in Kaohsiung. (B)

  • Day 5/ Kaohsiung – Kenting – Chihpen Hot Springs, Taitung :

    After breakfast, Morning tour to Kenting National Park, Stops will be made at Eluanbi lighthouse, Maobitou, Chuanfan(sail) Rock and Longpan Park. Drive to Taitung via Southern Link Highway. Overnight in Taitung. (B)

  • Day 6 / Taitung – East Coast National Scenic Area – Hualien :

    After breakfast, today check out from the hotel. You will proceed for the East Coast tour. The East Coast National Scenic Area, known as “Taiwan’s last unspoiled land”. Tour will stop at Xiaoyeliu, Sanxiantai, Shitiping (Stone Steps), Fanshuliao marble factory and the exhibition hall. Late afternoon, proceed to Hualien for overnight stay at Taroko National Park. Overnight at Taroko National Park, Hualien (B).

  • Day 7 / Hualien – Taroko Gorge – Qingshui Cliff – Taipei :

    After breakfast, visit to Taroko National Park. Taroko Gorge is an exceptionally beautiful, narrow raving created by the Liwu river which has cut deep into the mountains of solid marble. Stops will be made at Taroko Gorge Gateway, Shakadang Trail or Lushui Trail, Swallow Grotto, Cihmu Bridge and Changchun Temple (Eternal Spring Shrine). Then drive back to Taipei with a stop at Qingshui Cliff, drive through Syue-Shan Long Tunnel. Overnight in Taipei. (B)

  • Day 8/ Taipei :

    After breakfast, leisure time until check out later transfer to airport for departure flight to your next destination. (B)
